Find your own answers to the various problems surrounding “food” and motivate people. We are educating nutritionists with leadership ability. We have prepared a comprehensive curriculum with an abundance of group work and practical experience. We have also included elective courses to prepare for the National Examination for Registered Dietitians. We provide education and counseling that extends beyond your graduation.

Career paths after graduation

For applicants of international student

All international applicant is required at least N1 level (JLPT) of Japanese ability since all the lectures shall be provided in Japanese. Cookery, Baking and Pastry Arts Diploma Program Course Introduction

1) Meister Program

Learn high level culinary skills in this 2 year program

In 2 years, both your culinary and practical skills will improve measuredly. We are preparing talented people to work in the food service industry of the future.

Learn restaurant operations through practical experience

Practice real restaurant operations in school, learn real world culinary skills and the knowledge and skills needed to service customers.

We have prepared a dual practical training program to help you understand what happens at real restaurants (paid practical training)

With 150 hours of paid practical training at operations facilities outside of school, you won’t only learn skills, you will also learn team work and a good mental attitude.

2) Chef/Cook Training Program

Learn basic culinary skills in this 1 year program

The course focuses on Japanese, Western and Chinese cuisine with opportunities to learn confectionery making, bread making, preparing food for large groups, specialized cooking and other types of cooking.

Even beginners can master cooking techniques

We go step by step from the basics to practical application, so even first timers can learn without stress.

Practical experience at the Shohakuken Restaurant

Learn how to put your skills into practice at the “Shohakuken Restaurant”, a working restaurant  located on campus, where you can get overall practical experience in restaurant cooking and service.

3) Baking and Pastry Arts Specialty Program

Fully learn about confectionery and bread making from the basics to practical application

Finely polish your Western confectionery, bread and Japanese confectionery making skills with repeated practice.

Practical Confectionary Skills Education

On-site training at the “Le Printemps Confectionary Workshop”, a working business located on campus, where you can learn a full range of practical skills including product planning, preparation and sales.

Gain expertise about Cafes
